Class Descriptions
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Level 1:
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance is a modern blend of traditional belly dance infused with hip-hop, modern dance and more to create a new, unique dance form that is sweeping the nation!
Each class will include an invigorating warm-up designed to increase flexibility and strength, followed by an overview of posture, isolations and basic footwork. at the end of class we put the moves together in a fun and simple combination!
Mondays and Wednesdays, 6pm
No dance experience is necessary.
Intermediate/Advanced Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Level:
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance is characterized by elegant movements and a sinuous grace that lends itself to interpretive movement in dance, while maintaining the integrity of its folkloric roots.
Level 2 is the next step in your dance practice! This class will bring your hips, arms and feet together in a way you never thought possible before, as we focus on strength and technique to bring out the dancer in you!
At least one year of Belly Dance Training is recommended, Instructor approval is suggested for this course.
Wednesdays 6pm
Poi Lessons:
Poi is an exciting dance form combining rhythm, flow and dexterity. Originating in New Zealand, this art of spinning weighted ropes or socks has taken the wold by storm over the last several years.
Whether you are brand new to Poi, or if you have spun at jams and festivals for fun, Claire can create a plan for you! Lessons and workshops can include: basic poi moves, how to combine them to create amazing combinations, how to bring grace and flow into your practice and more!
